Fast Times and Excellent Performances at the Mary Peters Track and Around Europe

As in previous years the Belfast Irish Milers meeting held at the Mary Peters Track did not disappoint. Warm sunny conditions with a light breeze produced some fantastic performances from both our local athletes and those visiting from overseas.

There were several excellent performances over the bank holiday weekend from NI athletes in disciplines ranging from 400m up to the Marathon distance.

Brynja Brynjarsdottir and Anna Gardener win ‘Editors Choice’ and ‘Best Athlete of the Year’ awards at the Local Women in Sport Awards Gala at the Europa Hotel, Belfast last Saturday (27^th April).

Belfast International 5k Road Race Selection Policy

This event will be held in Belfast City Centre on the 9^th June 2024. A senior men’s and women’s teams will be selected for the international elements of the event.

Kathryn Walls, a member of Athletics NI Board and Willowfield Harriers runner will be taking on the challenge of London Marathon with her Uncle Tony, but she will be playing a ukulele!
